The Company was formed in November 1997 by Jon Hewitt and Ed Robertson, who, between them, had been designing and implementing Veterinary Practice Management Systems in the UK for over twenty-five years.  Bob Clarke soon joined the Company, bringing with him a further decade of experience in this sector.

Teleos set up its original support centre in Aldridge, West Midlands in 2000. As a result of continued expansion, the Company moved into the prestigious Fort Dunlop building in Birmingham in June 2007.

The Teleos Philosophy

Since its first launch in 1998, the Teleos Practice Management System has been widely adopted by all types of practice across the length and breadth of the UK and Ireland. The system is also now being used in Scandinavia and is easily translated into other languages. Teleos now boasts a user base in excess of three hundred practices ranging in size from single surgery sole practitioner through to large multi-site group Practices.

teleosmonitorA number of factors have contributed to the success of the Company, not least of which is our software development policy. There has only ever been one software program produced by Teleos, which has been continuously developed to meet the evolving needs of the profession. This helps to maintain Teleos’ position at the forefront of practice computing and ensures that the very first users of Teleos enjoy exactly the same facilities as the most recent.

This helps to maintain Teleos’ position at the forefront of Practice computing and ensures that the very first users of Teleos enjoy exactly the same facilities as the most recent. By the way, Teleos do not charge annual licence renewal fees either.

Another major factor in the success of the Company is our support team. Teleos maintains an excellent ratio of support staff to clients, thereby allowing us to provide a pro-active support function, not simply fire-fighting problems as they arise. We are always pleased to supply a full list of Teleos clients for reference.
