Build 716 release (updated 2 Aug 2010 at 22:45)
Posted on 30. Jul, 2010 by Teleos Systems in News
Based on our records, clients that were running program versions 714 (including any sub-version), 715, 715a or 715b have recently been upgraded to Build 716. Anyone who has advised us that they are still running those builds will be updated shortly.. It should be stressed that there are no data integrity issues with any of the above builds and any sites still running one of them should not be concerned. Their targeting for upgrade was solely to address performance issues encountered whilst addressing data sources external to the server. This issue has now been resolved.
Should you experience any problem with the system immediately after permitting the 716 upgrade process to proceed – such as the startup routine ‘loops’ repeatedly – please email support@teleosvet.co.uk (or call 0121 286 9990) to let us know which workstation(s) are affected .
This build will shortly be generally available to all – along with its release notes – as a website download.
Many thanks

Really like the new menu for selecting animals within a client record – SO much clearer when clients have multiple animals.
With respect to the new icon buttins above the history screen…. very good idea. Is there any chance of changing the “Hereditary diseases” button so that it’s called an “Ongoing Disease” or similar…. this would be very useful to identify animals with eg heart disease, kidney disease, arthritis etc
Hi Teleos
Thanks for the update very good just a couple of suggestions -
I have used the esc button at the end of a consult for add & exit for the last 10 years & now that keystroke seems to represent cancel instead which is very frustrting as its an automatic action at the end of consult Its much more efficient than using the mouse or alt E which needs doing twice & then enter Any chance of reinstating the action of esc Please???
Also when the drop down box to change animals comes up the default seems to be include deceased animals — could the default be not to include as with longstanding clients with many dead animals it gets very cluttered.
Thanks Glenn
Glenn – many thanks for your observations. We’ll look at the ESC function you have described to see why this was changed. The listing (or not) and order of appearance of deceased animals in the new drop down has split opinion quite sharply. It looks like we may need to make the order of presentation a switchable function going forward.
Any chance of being able to change the colours of the new “client waiting” logo? It is a bit harsh to go straight to red for 2 & above when we have 2 vets consulting. Personally I would prefer white, blue, orange, red for 1 to 4. Is this something I could change with photoshop? I can’t seem to find an appropriate gif file anywhere.
